Feeling Stuck? Here’s Why You Need to Push Through

Ever feel like you’re dragging? You know what you're supposed to be doing, you’ve set your goals, you have a plan—but for the life of you, it just feels so much harder this time around.

Yeah, me too.

Normally, I go back to the things that motivate me to push past that feeling—like inspiring movies (Rocky, Creed—my favs). I'll listen to motivational speeches from people like Eric Thomas and Myron Golden. Many times, I'll turn on gospel music.

But what happens when the things that normally work… don’t?

What Does This Mean? How Do You Get Through Seasons Like This?

I believe that during times like this, God is stretching us.

I do a lot of strength training, and if there's one thing I've learned, it’s that the only way to get stronger and see real change is to lift heavier and do the things I haven’t done before.

💡 Don’t resist the resistance.

Dig deeper—there’s more in you. That’s why it’s so uncomfortable. Growth never happens in comfort zones. God is a good Father, and that means it’s His job to pull the best out of you.

Pressure Creates Innovation

Did you know that a lot of million-dollar ideas come from struggle?

They say necessity breeds innovation, and it’s true. When people face challenges—whether financial hardship, frustration with existing solutions, or personal difficulties—they’re forced to think differently. They spot inefficiencies. They solve problems.

Here are a few examples:

  • Sara Blakely (Spanx) – She was struggling financially, selling fax machines door-to-door, when she came up with the idea for footless pantyhose.

  • Howard Schultz (Starbucks Expansion) – He saw a gap in American coffee culture and turned his vision for Italian-style cafés into a global empire.

  • Tristan Walker (Bevel) – He struggled to find quality grooming products for Black men, which led him to create a successful shaving brand.

Struggle forces transformation.

If you're going through a tough time, maybe—just maybe—this is the pressure that’s shaping you into something greater. Diamonds don’t form without pressure. Muscles don’t grow without resistance.

It’s not time to quit. It’s time to dig.

There’s more in you. Go discover it.
